A party of 10 students together with two teachers from Ellesmere Port Catholic High School visited Reutlingen recently to take part in a joint environmental project with 10 students from a Reutlingen school, Friedrich-List-Gymnasium.   Their studies considered issues concerning water.  The project will continue when the Reutlingen students will visit Ellesmere Port next April for a week to work with their partner school to consider further issues related to water which are particularly relevant to Ellesmere Port.  The environmental exchange project has been made possible by funding from the UK-German Connection organisation.   Although the students had a busy environmental programme they found time to visit a bakery where they were taught how to make some of the local traditional bread rolls.  Also, they were entertained by the Reutlingen Council and had the privilege of sitting in the seats of the council members within the Council Chamber.  The Catholic High School students are looking forward to working with their new friends from Friedrich-List-Gymnasium next year.
